Houston Rodeo, yeeehaa!

Howdy y'all!

We all went to the Rodeo today and we all had a great time! We started off the day with Dad getting me some lunch (just a wee turkey leg as you can see in the photo).



Then we were off to the kid's farm! I got my own farmer's basket and collected wool, veggies and other goodies around the farm!

I even got to see some real cows and sheep! (At least from the viewing box here :) They were a lot bigger than Malley but I tried whistlin' to them too just in case they perked up like she does. Everyone quite a kick out of it.

Mom helped me out to plant some onion seeds at the garden.

Then, onto the coolest thing there, the pony rides! Yeehaa! I'm a Texan now! Here's a pic and a movie riding the pony!

After that, we got to see a Texas Longhorn (actually, it was just a short horn for the kids) then off to see a bunch of other stuff too. After Dad had some deep-fried key lime pie and mom some deep-fried mushrooms, we finished up and headed back into the sunset.

First Swim Class!

Hey there!

Well, I started my official swim lessons and boy did I have a hoot! I'm in the Starfish, level 1, and they had me going through my paces. Kicking, bobbing, and all that. I even got a chance to go down the slide! Yup, I had a good ol' time with Mom in the water and Dad filming and snapping pics. Anywho, here's a couple of those pics!

Here's a pic from early on in the lesson, still getting used to the water, but hey, once I figured out you could splash in this stuff, all was good. :)

Houston Rodeo Parade

Yeehaa!

Me and my parents went to see a whole bunch of horseys in the opening parade for the Houston Rodeo, and boy did I have fun! I got some flags and did my best to wave them at every single parade float that went by and near everyone came over and waved back to me, pretty sweet!

I can get a pretty good view from up here...

I'm hiding, betcha kind find me...

Keeping toasty in the oh, so cold weather here. :)

I love "SEE"food!

I've picked up on a great new trick that daddy won't laugh at anymore, but I showed it to mommy today and she couldn't stop giggling! Mommy was feeding me my lunch - green beans (yuck!) and some chicken noodle stuff (yum!). I had some bites of chicken with green beans snuck in there. I chewed really good then open my mouth and looked right at mommy! I pushed it all out with my tongue until it was a real good mess on the tray. Mommy covered her mouth right away, but I could tell she was laughing behind her hands!

I had fun at dinner tonight too. Daddy was feeding me my "num nums". This is my most favorite part of the meal! I smacked my lips and opened big, he couldn't spoon it in fast enough! As soon as he was done with one spoonful, I'd smack again and open wide! I really like my num nums!

Here I Grow Again!

I'm 14 months old now and have basically outgrown my 12 month old clothes! Mommy and Daddy said that they bought me some new pajamas, including a really cute one with doggies on it!

I'm having lots of fun in Houston and like to whistle at Malley - well, at all animals really!

Daddy got me some flash cards last week, they have different animals on them. I love the cow and sheep flash card and get very upset when they are taken away from me. All I do is stare at them, is it really necessary to take them from me? Its not like I'm eating them or anything...! Oh well, what do Mommy and Daddy know anyway about Flash Cards?
